The Galley:
For this project I developed a scheme for a Multicultural Asian food centre that offered a street food experience, as well as a learning opportunity to cook your favourite Asian dishes. This would provide a cultural hub within the heart of Melaka, Malaysia.

The design is inspired by the surrounding context; encapsulating and mimicing the rhythm of the street, as well as providing practical spaces that take advantage of the views over the river and its natural cooling effect. I also incorporated an existing building into the scheme that connects the site horizontally; overall producing a new, modern space that nestled into the towns historic landscape.

The Dragons Jaw:
For this project I was tasked with designing a small performance venue within the historic town of Conwy, Wales. The building was to include a substantial narrative that helped connect it to its surroundings as well as a direct link with the town walls within Conwy.

The schemes inspiration derives from the national symbol of Wales, a red dragon. The sections within the building are housed within the head of the dragon, whilst a large exterior venue sits within its jaw, connecting to the top of the town wall.
