Hussein Al-Sawafi

Visitor, Heritage and Cultural center that provides guidance and advice to tourists that visits the city of Melaka in Malaysia. The visitor centre includes a historical and cultural gallery, outlining the history of Melaka and the different countries that controlled the city throughout its long and chequered history. The building also provides information about the surroundings and key places within the city such as a landmarks, the nearby National Park and National forest and State Park, etc. Furthermore, it works as a heritage center, which is dedicated to the preservation and presentation of the historical city and its peoples, through exhibition of historical artefacts. Finally, it is a cultural center dedicated to the continuation and expression of local culture and arts.

The design expresses a certain cool "wow" factor, as at Milton Glaser, a graphic designer says "There are three responses to a piece of design -Yes, No and WOW! Wow is the one to aim to aim for” (Todd Siegel, 2015)
