The aim of Growing into the Future is to propose a space that promotes hydroponics as the future of farming and field to fork eating. The space is both plant-based eatery, serving a selection of meat-free seasonal burgers made from ingredients picked daily from within the space and freshly picked salad dishes and other fresh garnishes from the live salad bar or hydroponic allotment. Growing into the Future aims to educate customers about hydroponics and the positive impact that using this method of farming can have on the environment. The project aims to raise awareness of issues around importing and exporting produce, whilst educating the customer about the positive impact on the environment that comes from utilising hydroponic technologies.

From start to finish this project has been incredibly exciting for me as a designer because it has helped me to consider how designing for the future can look. I am incredibly proud of how this project has turned out and it makes me more excited to continue my exploring my passion for design in the future.
