Aaron has had a wide range of experience in the design field. Having taken work experience after every year at university, he has worked on design typologies from door furniture to medical standard products. Working closely with the workshop and manufacturing staff, he understands the importance of design for manufacture; specifically in steel tube and injection moulding. Producing things such as a blanket for assistive dog washing and a rescue device for the Mountain Rescue, these projects have been based around their individual markets, and care has been taken to investigate each specific area to ensure the key problems are being dealt with. Aaron is a well-rounded designer who can take a product from conception to manufacture and sale, who is proficient in Solidworks and the Adobe Suite Package on par with the current industry standards. In his placement he worked as a Design Engineer at Drive DeVilbiss Sidhil, whilst simultaneously providing support to the testing, purchasing and services departments showing flexibility, adaptability, and an ability to liaise with colleagues and client-user-stakeholders. He will be returning to his placement in a full-time role after graduation.
