Corey took part in the course’s optional placement year, which he spent as a Designer at ML Badges & More Ltd, an accessory manufacturer which has supplied customers such as The NHS, Help for Heroes, IKEA, Manchester City, One Young World, The Round Table, and Google with pin badges, lanyards, medals, and coins – Impressed with his skills and work ethic, he continued to work there part-time during his final year.
Throughout his studies and placement, he also worked for the pub chain Greene King, designing posters, graphics, and coordinating social media posts for over 13 restaurants – Corey continues to work for both companies full-time.
Notably, Corey has developed his software knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, alongside SolidWorks and KeyShot, and processes such as Die Cutting and Zinc Alloy Injection, he continues to add to his experience of liaising with overseas factories, working as part of a small business, and interacting with clients.
In 10 years’ time, combining both his academic and industry experience, Corey hopes to create & grow his own design-oriented company.
