Milo Brind
Product Design BA/BSc (Hons)
“If you have grocery shopped online, you have seen my work”. Milo Brind is an accomplished designer with many projects through university, freelance and work placement. Milo gained a wide range of software and practical knowledge learning product design, specialising in Cinema 4D, the Adobe Suite and prototyping/manufacture. Freelance work include an animation and video editing for Barnsley Museums, an interactive exhibit for Wakefield Museums and a donation box for the Lawrence Batley Theatre. During placement at Aire Designs in Leeds, he was tasked with creating 3D images from artwork to show clients what packages/products would be like before production. These images would then be used as thumbnails for online retail sites. The placement involved working with large clients such as Kellogg’s, Pringles and many more. His final year university project is a bridge between the BSc and BA disciplines with life-like climbing rock holds and colour and pattern schemes suitable for colour blind users. The project required rigorous user testing as well as innovative design methods to achieve accurate results.
