Muhammad Dawood

Product Design BA/BSc (Hons)

Muhammad is a designer with a wealth of experience in 3D modelling, teaching, animation and product visualisation. During his year on placement, Muhammad worked as a researcher and animator on an EU funded project with international partners from Turkey and Bulgaria. The animations and VR were used to teach engineering drawings according to BS 8888. Preliminary testing showed an increase of 30% in test scores. He presented work abroad to clients and partners to ensure that the project was heading in the right direction. As a part-time lecturer, Muhammad taught SOLIDWORKS, 3ds max, Keyshot and 3D printing and was often the lead for university competitions such as the design of a pen for the Duchess of York. The design and development of an injection moulded medical part was also undertaken with a local hospice which reduced the cost of the part by 85%. Alongside English, Muhammad can also speak Gujrati and Urdu and is extremely motivated to learn and develop as a designer. He strives to find creative solutions to problems and has learnt a significant amount about the industry and what is required to be successful.
