Zahra Khedapa

Zahra is focused on creating meaningful experiences through innovative design. She is currently working as a Design Engineer at Canvasman, a bespoke furniture and cover design company who specialise in boat covers. Gaining valuable communication skills with clients, such as working with HKD Solutions, a company who sells beds specifically designed for children who suffer from epilepsy. Zahra’s position has allowed her to create and design bespoke outdoor seating for The Ministry of Sound as well as designing custom 3D canvas panels with fittings to enclose a structure for Podmakers, a company who create luxury garden homes with complex structures. Furthermore, she enjoys liaising with clients and understanding the needs of users and other stakeholders. These skills were further amplified during her degree at the University of Huddersfield, Zahra, learned how to incorporate vital user feedback to elevate concept designs, creating desirable and manufacturable end products. Zahra is working full time at Canvasman in a Design Engineer role. Software skills she has includes, Adobe – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom and Premiere Pro as well as Solidworks, 3ds Max, Rhino, Keyshot and Grasshopper, a CAD programming software.
