Cahir Mullan

I am a Bsc Product design student passionate about developing ideas and having the skills to make them real. My dream would be to work in a team with designers solving problems and helping others by doing so. I would ideally love to work with Solidworks to help bring ideas to life as I feel this is my best attribute. I have taken part in many team and individual projects within Huddersfield University and within my placement year at Bloc Blinds in Magherafelt. I got to work alongside a team of experienced designers, who taught me how to design blinds cost effectively and how smart technology is making big changes in the blind industry. During my placement Bloc Blinds began to make face shields to help against the Covid pandemic and I was lucky enough to be involved with this project which was a unique experience. The project presented is LiftRight which is a multipurpose tool which is designed to help reduce musculoskeletal disorder in the construction industry. It was designed to be aimed at Tradesmen in the drylining industry as many of my friends are in this industry and often complain about aches and pains.
