Precious understands that the best products are those which put the user first in mind. She enjoys thinking outside the box and inquisitive nature is one of the driving factors behind her creativity. Studying product design has enhanced her creative design skills and provided her with an environment where she gained a deeper understanding of various techniques and approaches to design. Precious can use an empathic approach to devise solutions to problems and is eager to continue implementing this approach because it gives her deeper understanding of the way people interact with products allowing her to create meaningful designs. Precious’ final year product went through an extensive development process to tackle the problems faced when detangling curly hair leading her to design a detangling kit which aids in grooming hair efficiently whilst minimising pain. During her placement year Precious worked for The Great British Exchange as a Product Executive working with high-profile clients such as John Lewis, Tom Kerridge and was involved in developing a baking subscription service for The Great British Bake Off which has been launched to market. Precious looks forward to continuing using her knowledge to contribute to creating solutions and improving products and services for people.
