Tara Hamasalim
Product Design BA/BSc (Hons)
Tara Hamasalim is a BA Product Design graduate who enjoys designing and creating new innovations. Tara's ambition has always been to work in the medical industry to design products that change people's lives and make a difference. Tara has gained experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, as well as SolidWorks and KeyShot. Tara has worked on animations, 3D printing, video editing, and modelling designs. Tara's graduation project focused on the issues of frequent doctor visits that parents and doctors face, as well as the doctors' time being lost. 'ECHO', a wireless digital stethoscope with attachments and the charging base which also sanitises that helps parents to observe their children at home, was developed using feedback from online forums and questionnaires. This reduces the amount of time spent visiting the doctors. Tara is eager to develop her portfolio and is constantly seeking the ideal design career that will allow her to put all of her talents to good use. Her ideal job will be to create useful medicinal products and supplies. She wants to work with the NHS, Boots, Lloyds Pharmacy, and private businesses. Tara can speak Kurdish in addition to English and is incredibly keen to learn and develop as a designer. She seeks to find innovative solutions to challenges and has gained valuable knowledge about the industry and what it takes to succeed.
