Welcome to the showcase featuring work by graduating students in Music and Design Arts. It shows the numerous conceptual, aesthetic, musical and technical skills of students and the range of their creativity and expression. The Department of Music and Design Arts is a dynamic and creative hub that enables and empowers students to nurture their talents and develop their visions. Staff come from a range of backgrounds and areas of expertise in the creative industries and education, and have work collectively to help students develop a body of work that encapsulates their ideas in a variety of forms and directions that progresses their professional skills. By the end of their courses, students are well-equipped to enter the world of work, armed with an impressive range of transferrable skills
The current academic year has shown the integral importance of creativity and culture in the process of healing and coming together again. We applaud students for the resilience and determination shown; they have been unbeaten in the face of adversity and the efforts they’ve put in to energise their work environments.
Students have continued to win national and international accolades and have sustained stimulating exchange and debate with local, national and global creatives. This is because we encourage our students to be bold and brave, to take risks, and to be enterprising. As staff we are delighted to be able to share some of the brilliant work our graduating students have made and we hope you can join us in congratulating them on their outstanding achievement!
