Contemporary Art and Illustration BA(Hons)

I am an artist exploring loneliness and isolation, my interest in this subject began during lockdown.

I work from self-portrait photographs taken in my bedroom using the self-timer function, to make portrait paintings about self-enquiry, taking a female gaze approach.

Through experimenting with different palettes and mediums, light and shadows, I create a sense of emotion and loneliness conveyed through a depicted space and I am inspired by the works of Francesca Woodman and Edward Hopper. I am now looking at the idea of space and size.
