My mixed-Asian identity feels like I am being split into fragmented parts, missing a culture I can fully embrace and be part of.
'Fish out of water' is a painting that explores how I can represent the struggles I face. Based on a composition of elements from smaller works in the project, I wanted to create something vulnerable and sincere that portrays my confusion and doubt about who I am and where I belong.
