Fashion Brand Marketing BA(Hons)

During my time studying Fashion Brand Marketing at the University of Huddersfield, I have developed an aptitude across a range of software for the enhancement of branding, marketing and media campaigns. These include Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Lightroom. With a proven academic strength in both oral and written communication, I have been able to convey both of my ability to work as a leader, part of a team and in response to briefs. I relish problem solving and demonstrate creative flair when building a campaign or developing a social media strategy. The aforementioned skills and strengths were harnessed recently during my final major project which enabled me to problem solve a creative solution to enhance the brand image of Victoria’s Secret, and boldly tackle issues around sustainability. In this way, I offered a solution to Victoria’s Secret’s controversy over stock waste by proposing that that they create a series of upcycled handbags made from old / unsold stock. Whilst writing my dissertation, I examined how events in the past have shaped fashion, and analysed the reciprocal nature of fashion shaping the lives of women and vice versa. This dissertation aimed to illustrate that many constraints were in fact opportunities.
