Lorna Forrest
Fashion Brand Marketing BA(Hons)
My Fashion Brand Marketing degree has shaped my passion and skill set within the area and made me eager to start my career in marketing. Completing a year-long internship with Joe Browns has solidified my ambition to work within social media, branding and PR in my future career. I learnt many skills within this internship, working in multiple sectors of the marketing department which provided me with a wide range of experience including copywriting, social media content scheduling and influencer scouting. My dissertation focuses on how fashion brand’s social media strategy changed as a result of the pandemic. This gave me a great insight into how fashion brands have changed their social media content, which will help me within my future job role and enable me to produce content that fits the new way of content consumption. My final major project focuses on a collaboration between House of CB and Depop in an effort to extend the life cycle of night out clothing. Creating a marketing and communications report and supporting social media assets has allowed me to utilise the skills learnt within my degree and internship, as well as preparing me for my role in business upon graduation.
*Please note all brands used within my work are part of university projects and are in no way linked to the existing companies.
