As an innovative Fashion Marketeer, my time at the University of Huddersfield has strengthened my skills and knowledge of the industry and helped me understand the career path I aspire to take. Within my placement year, I had the opportunity to work at the PR Agency, MGC London, where I made invaluable industry connections and gained extensive experience in monitoring coverage and liaising with press, organising samples and showroom appointments, in addition to assisting with various client projects and events, press days and was on front door for various shows during London Fashion Week. My final year projects develop upon my industry experience and subsequent interest in public relations, with the exploration of crisis management and identifying areas of opportunity within this field being key themes throughout my work. These projects allowed me the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of traditional and contemporary public relations strategies to expand my knowledge and provided me with the confidence and ability to put these into practise. Following graduation, I intend to return to London to continue a career within the PR industry.
