Ksenija Jancarskaja

Being a student at Huddersfield University and studying Fashion Creative Direction allowed me to learn and understand the vast branches of the fashion industry and navigated me towards what interests me most in this sphere. There I learned various skills, from team work collaborations and creativity development to digital software practice. Also, I received knowledge about the history of fashion and dress, the environmental backgrounds of the fashion industry and an understanding of supply chains, production and marketing developments. Projects involving trends prediction and future expectations of fashion consumers, research and analysis were some of the most interesting and successful. This course allowed me to improve my writing skills and taught me to stay composed during presentations and group work. Especially the last year at university had a significant impact on my decisions about my future career pathway, showed me how self-motivated, organised and hardworking I can be, my studies gave me not only knowledge, but also self-confidence and the desire to be successful in the fashion industry and life in general.
