Reflecting on three years at university, I have had the opportunity to express myself and grow, whilst following my dreams to work in such an amazing industry. University has taught me many valuable life experiences and has helped me develop a strong vision for my future as a creator. After studying Fashion Creative Direction, I have now developed the skills to flourish within the competitive fashion industry. Due to the integrative learning, I have been able to develop my knowledge in many areas of the fashion industry and gain valuable skills such as creative direction, marketing, and consumer / trend analysis. Out of all the areas that were taught over the years, I particularly enjoyed creating visual content; Planning and conducting photoshoots, as well as the marketing aspect of fashion. Throughout university, I have developed an interest in popular culture more specifically, the development of gender and stereotypes as a theme, within both music and the fashion industry. I loved that I was able to develop these and incorporate them into my work through visual content such as magazine publications as well as my dissertation. I cannot wait to develop all my skills further when in employment.
