Megan Ross
Fashion Creative Direction BA(Hons)
My journey into the fashion industry began during the summer before I came to university, when a college tutor of mine enrolled me into a program to be one of ten selected students to work on a project under the mentorship of the ELLE UK team. Here, I found that I felt more comfortable than ever working alongside other creatives to produce something that will remain a part of fashion forever. Through taking part in this mentorship, I realized the pathway I wanted to follow at university, therefore I made the decision to pursue fashion creative direction and the University of Huddersfield. During my final year, I discovered that I have a passion and increasing interest in fashion marketing, something I learned about myself through my final major project. Over the three years at university, I have had the chance to develop a wide range of skills such as styling for photoshoots, project planning and time management as well as developing my creativity and style of work. I remain up to date with the current market and the way social media is evolving in terms of the fashion industry and use this in my work to attract other creatives.
