Fashion Design with Marketing and Production BA(Hons)

My FMP is based off the history in Burnley in the 19th Century. In 1886 Burnley was producing the most cotton in the world. It is a heritage project focused on remembering the history whilst also, starting the revolution of Reshoring. Throughout this project I have created a Transeasonal collection inspired by the mills and the clothing the girls used to wear to work. I have also created an alternative resort collection inspired from when the workers used to go on their holidays on “Wakes weeks”. These collections were researched in full, by visiting mills in Burnley and reading historic articles and journals. I also created a marketing campaign of a look book, website and podcast to promote 140 and its collections.
