Fionn Brown
Fashion Design with Marketing and Production BA(Hons)
I will shortly be a post-graduate student from the University of Huddersfield, with a degree in Fashion Design with Marketing. For my final project I chose to design a collection inspired by ocean pollution and post-consumer plastics. During my three years studying at University, I have developed not only my creative skills, but also my interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Designing and manufacturing my own collection from start to finish has allowed my enthusiasm for fashion to flourish within all aspects of the course, whether that be within the design process, the pattern drafting or construction. I am a creative individual with a perfectionist personality which has allowed me to constantly learn and grow throughout my course, finishing everything to the highest standard I can and working on constructive feedback. My biggest personal accomplishment has been developing my CAD skills – at the beginning of university I had never used any Adobe platforms; now I am creating range plans I am proud of, mood boards and creative outputs for my Marketing module utilising these newly acquired skills, this has been a huge achievement for me. My Marketing module has allowed me to showcase my ability within academic writing skills alongside an extremely creative course which has given me the perfect balance.
