My womenswear collection stems from a global issue that is very personal to me; my collection, ‘Total Animal Liberation’, reflects my personal ethos. ‘Total Animal Liberation’ is a protest collection advocating rights for animals all over the world. I believe that fashion is a hugely self-reflecting tool; you can tell a lot about a person by what they wear, so my collection is very informative and to the point, in the hope that the slogans on my garments will inform people about the mistreatment of animals – especially in the fashion and food industries. As a designer, I believe we have a certain ethical standard to live up to; issues such as sustainability, animal and human welfare, should be considered in all aspects of design. My collection is made from 100% vegan fabrics, all locally sourced from dead-stock fabric suppliers and independent businesses.

As a fashion design graduate, my immediate intention is to secure a job in the fashion industry to gain further experience on how the industry works. However, my ultimate ambition is to launch my own label, pursuing my activism through fashion, raising awareness of animal welfare and other ethical issues within the fashion industry.
