My tailored womenswear collection has been influenced by my life experience over recent years because I wanted to base my collection on something that was personal to me, to challenge who I am as a designer. The inspiration for this collection comes from a combination of feelings, including support and vulnerability; two feelings that I believe everyone has felt more than once in their life. The aesthetic of my collection is inspired by my placement year, at a high-end tailor, and is designed to be identified as staple pieces that blend in well with everyday wardrobes, but are impactful when combined together. This collection is targetted toeard a Direct to Consumer sales model; garments will be only be produced upon order by the customer. This method of production addresses the issue of stockpiling, thus contributing to the sustainable fashion initiatives that are appealing to the ever-increasingly conscious consumer.
