Daria Jackowska

Illustration BA(Hons)

Through her illustrations, Daria goes back to her childhood and tries to bring some of the nostalgia to her current projects by creating her pieces in a way that she would enjoy as a child herself. The use of colour, compositions and amount of details she uses are all inspired by illustrations in her favourite children’s books.

Daria celebrates not only the finished product but also the process of making. She works mainly using traditional mediums and techniques like drawing, painting and print-making.

Her illustrations are often used to carry an important message, but sometimes they are created purely for viewing (and making) pleasure.

Please note: Daria has been struggling to photograph her work over lockdown. The images of her work are placeholders, and will be substituted with higher quality versions at a later date.
