Illustration BA(Hons)

Through creating illustrations with a mixed media approach, watercolours, paint and fine line drawings, I have used my final year to develop and explore new ways to work and strengthen my skills through a digital composition. With mental health being such a taboo subject for many people, I saw it as an opportunity to address the topic in a manner that allows people to feel at ease with the subject when in contact with the imagery. My intentions with the works being to spark a conversation with ones self or others, remind people they are not alone or that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, but to also bring an uplift in mood and create a feeling of ease and calmness.
Moving forward, I intend to continue pushing and strengthening my style with the idea of giving my illustrations a purpose, preferably through raising awareness or supporting someone through my work, following on from my final major project pieces.
