Kathryn Burrows

I am an aspiring writer and illustrator from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. My aim as a creator is to produce work within the field of narrative illustration. I wish to tell stories to an audience and as such, I have a true passion for both the writing and illustration elements that are crucial when it comes to tackling visual storytelling. Stories have the potential to really impact those who experience them; I have been influenced by fictional narratives myself. To positively affect an audience with my own work is what I strive to achieve. Over the last few years, I have developed a style that can be translated across various types of media (comics, animation and video games). I draw a lot of inspiration from modern and retro cartoons, as I believe embracing both the then and the now can influence me to attain a timeless feel with my projects. As an illustrator, I make a genuine effort to push a feeling of excitement within my work. No matter what I am creating, there are always two consistent traits I try to showcase above all else: Fun and attitude.
