On completing my degree in International Fashion Buying Management, I secured a role at BoohooMAN as a Buyers Admin Assistant as part of the jersey department. This course has covered trend forecasting, fashion’s cultural, ethical and environmental impacts as well as textual and visual research. During final year I completed a project which enabled me to develop a body positive menswear brand. Outputs for this project included a range plan, brand handbook and social media account. This allowed me to combine a range of skills. A year placement as a Buyer’s Admin, not only confirmed this was the career path for me, but it also allowed me to put some of my academic learnings into action. Creating and managing critical paths, meeting deadlines, problem solving, sample management and range presentation prep. My enthusiasm in following trends via social media, retail and market updates across many sectors, as well as my awareness of the processes involved in product placement and manufacture, will allow me to work with a vast selection of product be it fashion, housewares, beauty or FMCG goods.
