Bronte Woodworth

International Fashion Buying Management BA(Hons)

During the time of completing my undergraduate degree and placement year, I have built upon my skills and knowledge to support my career development within the fashion industry. Throughout my three years at university, I have excelled in key areas of manufacturing and supply chain management, which is demonstrated in my dissertation; how COVID-19 impacted British manufacturing and supply chains. My final project allowed me to delve into diversity in fashion, specifically exploring blind accessibility in fashion, creating a range that focuses on tactile elements of touch through the quality of fabrics and the use of braille elements on packaging. Prior to my final year of studies, I took a placement year and have experience in the marketing, admin, buying and wholesale side of the business. This demonstrated my flexibility within the role, which enabled me to take on more responsibility. Therefore, this ensured I was able to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment, which is crucial for the fashion industry. My experience as a sales advisor throughout my degree and placement year has given me the confidence to being commercially aware and keeping up with the latest trends, as well as understanding consumer demands and customer service skills.
