Olivia Booth

I am a hardworking, enthusiastic individual who has always been interested in the fashion industry and current trends. My time at the University of Huddersfield has allowed me to explore my interest in fashion through the completion of exciting and innovative projects. These have pushed me out of my comfort zone and built on my creativity and writing skills. In the three years I have been at University, I have learned about the fashion industry and the sectors within it such as: marketing, buying, creative direction and digital design. I have been able to apply this knowledge when completing my work. For my Final Major Project, I combined my interest in the problems of overconsumption, and the rise of sustainable fashion together, to create a suggested solution. I created an App designed to guide people into shopping more sustainably. I also focused my interest on overconsumption of fashion in my dissertation, which detailed the rise in purchasing of clothing throughout different time periods and generations. My goal in the future is to continue into the fashion industry with my acquired skills and knowledge from the time on my university course.
