Kendra Hayes

International Fashion Buying Management BA(Hons)

Throughout my time at the University of Huddersfield I have been able to pursue my interest in fashion through buying, marketing and creative direction modules which has highlighted my openness to exploring new skills and being adaptable across different types of projects. I take a hands-on approach to produce high quality work that shows my commitment and dedication. My strengths are in trend research and range planning as I am always attentive of how styles are developing in real life which has been valuable in my studies. I have taken a particular interest into sustainable shopping alternatives which I have enjoyed incorporating into my work, in a previous project I designed an AI sizing app with an added goal of reducing excessive online re-orders and returns caused by inconsistent sizing guides. For my final project, I designed a rental range for Reformation as a solution to the overconsumption of clothing, alongside this I styled and photographed a look book with the aim of giving customers inspiration on how they can incorporate rental pieces into their own wardrobes. As an aspirational buyer, I have an analytical approach with a keenness for creativity that will be an asset in future work.
