International Fashion Buying Management BA(Hons)

As an International Fashion Buying Management student, I have developed a great understanding of the fashion market through university projects, various internships and owning a business. Throughout my four years at university, I developed projects for trend forecasting, range planning, product development and project management. These gave me a great understanding of consumers, analysing trends and creating a collection as well as the opportunity to learn software like Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office and Canva. At the end of my first year, I used my time during lockdown to start a face mask business where I put what I had learned into practice. I carried out tasks and gained experience in product development, speaking with customers, promoting the products and distribution. Throughout my placement year, I also worked as a Wholesale Showroom Intern at Ralph Lauren and as a Website Assistant Intern at The Clothing Lounge where I gained an understanding of website management, visual merchandising, and sample management. In my final year, I created a supportive shoe range for Next, a collaboration between Diesel and DressX and a dissertation on the public’s response to Metaverse Fashion Week.

*Please note all brands used within my work are part of university projects and are no way linked to the existing companies.
