‘Self-portraits’ is an exploration of the light and the dark, positive and negative thoughts and feelings that I and everyone have within them, and experience on a regular basis. On the back of a mentally difficult year for everyone, I made work that acts as a mental exchange, I want the audience to see, take, make my work into whatever they need. If that is a refuge, a realisation that they aren’t alone, or a glimmer of hope and happiness. All are welcome.
