Pure Plant aims to demonstrate how sustainable textiles can be produced, without compromising on comfort or style, by utilising the natural properties of bast fibres. These fibres have been largely overlooked in the fashion industry, despite their numerous favourable qualities in terms of both sustainability and suitability for fashion. Pure Plant displays how this can be achieved through considered fibre choices, weave setts and structures and finishing and dyeing techniques. All pieces in this collection have been woven using all bast fibres and have been naturally dyed using plant-based dyes.
