Textiles BA/BSc(Hons)

This project is inspired by natural surfaces found in woodlands, looking into the shapes and textures they hold. A body of work has been created that explores this through fabrics that not only reflect these textures but are a stark contrast from them. Gold work and beading have been incorporated to further display the detail within these surfaces and to add volume and more texture to my work. The colour pallette utilised consists of black and dark blue tones that contrast the colours collected inspired by iridescence. The final collection is a set of fashion fabrics used for items such as capes and neck pieces.
