To further the feeling of always being watched, I took the shape of the mask and turned it into an all-seeing CCTV camera
Apps that have taken over in the past? Doodle Jump, Crossy Road, Flappy Bird, Pokemon Go. Now? Larry
What started off as an idea for a monument soon turned into a reward scheme. The rewards? Badges
Frown Industries, on the face of it, a company that means well. The masks they provide, behind the face of it, your unhappiness
Alexa. Google Home. They're both well and good, but can they measure your happiness like RA can?
Some questions raised during the project: How much happier could the design of the mask be? What features will Larry have? How would the road signs look?

My MA project titled “A Time of Happiness” was set in a fictional world, a world in which Anxiety and Depression are entities of power forcing a façade of positivity. By working from the shadows via the fictional companies “Frown Industries” and “EyeSpy”, Anxiety and Depression push this illusion of positivity by any means necessary. 

The aim of this project was to spread mental health awareness on anxiety and depression, as well as shedding light on the harsh truths of figurative mask wearing.
