Master's in Art and Design Showcase
I have always been passionate about sustainability and finding ways to incorporate sustainable practices within the fashion industry and my studies. As a continuation from my BSc Undergraduate degree, I was expanding my knowledge of Zero Waste Pattern Cutting throughout this MA. The Project aim was to establish lay plans for sleepwear sets in three different sizes using Zero Waste Pattern Cutting. Moreover, the project was carried out as a collaboration with a print designer from Scotland called Little Yellow Scribble. Throughout the project design choices were discussed as a team while always reflecting back on pattern cutting. This was because Zero Waste Fashion Design demands a more fluid and equal product development contrary to conventional design processes. Overall, this project was challenging and exciting at the same time and I hope you enjoy the outcomes as much as I do.
